Do you believe in faith?
Or maybe you can call it a Christmas miracle 💖
A little background story.
I have met this lovely family last year due to an unfortunate event when their little girl Millie have left this world and grew her angel wings 😢
I don't want to go into too much details as I know it is a sensitive subject, but I have to say I was, and I still am extremely glad I had the chance to meet them! Honest to God I have never felt so much love before 💗
A few months ago I got a message from the Co-Funder of Remember my Baby, she shared an instagram post with me. It was one of the photos I took for Millie's family 🥰
Straight away i sent them a request in the hope I can follow their journey.
It was accepted.
And even better, soon I have found out they're expecting their little rainbow baby to join their family 💓
I was so happy! Genuinely happy for them! And i got a little bit excited to capture some new memories for them, so I reached out to Dot.
She soon came back to me saying how they would love it, and they will be in touch when little one arrives.
Weeks went past and I was busy with work, doing Christmas sessions and trying to fit everyone in before the next Welsh lockdown, which was supposed to come in place tonight.
I had a maternity session booked for the 19th December. Usually I try to arrange my sessions for the morning, but for some reason I have booked this one for the afternoon, just in case I need to accommodate another booking.
On the 18th November I got a message from Millie's mummy saying their new little girl have arrived safe and sound, and they would love to come for their photos 🥰
I quickly answered with the one day I had available, but they said they couldn't make it.
So I asked if they could come next morning? The one I left free jusst in case.
And they said YES!
I was happy again 💗 and so excited to meet this new little life with literally the shortest notice ever 💓
The next morning came, and I am not sure about them, but I felt like I had friends coming over. Friends who I have known for years. Everything was just magical 💖
And here comes the miracle part! I had another newborn session booked for the 20th December. During the maternity session in the afternoon I had a couple of messages. I went to check them once I've finished, and it was the mum of the baby booked for the 20th, asking if we're still OK to go ahead due to the new lockdown. I was confused so quick went on google and found out that Wales was going into lockdown AGAIN, and all non-essential shops had to close on that day, the 19th December at the end of trading day. I was shocked.
I was angry, I was frustrated, my heart broke for the last two families I was supposed to see on the 20th and 21st December, but I was also extremely glad I have managed to see Gracie and her family in last minute 💞
We were even saying on the day that how glad we all are that we managed to pull this off, but as soon as Mum heard about the lockdown she said it was FAITH.
And I have to agree!
Ohh, and this awesome rainbow backdrop fabric arrived the day before! How perfect is that?!
